The Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs (FIWE ) along with the International Federation of Women Entrepreneure (IFWE) in cooperation with APCTT held the 7th Global Conference of Women Entrepreneurs at Ashoka Hotel New Delhi from the 7 - 9 February, 2000. APCTT disseminated information on the activities of the Centre through the sale of its publications and extensive networking among women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Kirgistan, Maldives and Myanmar all of whom have made requests for technological assistance in the field of weaving technology. Maldives has also expressed the need for technology in home waste management and home gardens. Dr. Vadim Kotelnikov of APCTT chaired the session on Innovation and Designing on the second day of the Conference.
