Objectives
- To discuss the techno-economic
aspects and application of new and
emerging technologies based on rice
by-products
- To promote commercialization of
selected technologies having high
transfer potential in Iran
- To facilitate transfer of regional
technologies and promote utilization
of value added products/technologies

- High performance concrete
- Masonry/ashmoh/ashment cements
- Building components such as block
and tiles
- Production of bran protein concentrate
free from fat
- Extraction of lesitine from gum
and husk raw oil
Participants
The participants will be senior managers
from the Industry (SMEs), R&D
institutions and technology promotion
and transfer agencies from Iran. The
total number of participants will
be around 50
Experts
Apart from the Iranian resource persons,
experts from India and the Philippines
will be invited to cover the identified
topics and present specific technologies
successfully commercialized in the
relevant areas/country. Field visits
to industry(ies) will be arranged
by the host organization.
Working language
The presentations and discussions
will be made in English. Persian translation
will be provided during the workshop.
