Objective
The seminar is aimed at exchanging experience of adopting new and high technology to develop SMEs in garment industry, improving the technological cooperation in Asian-Pacific region, enhancing the international competitiveness of garment industry and promoting garment SMEs' development in Asian-Pacific region.

Themes/Topics

1.current situation and problems in garment SMEs in Asian-pacific region;
2.latest fashion trend and development of garment material;
3.advanced garment processing technology;
4.application of IT in garment industry;
5.technological exchange and possible cooperation in the future among garment enterprises in Asian-Pacific region.

Participants will have an opportunity to visit the 5th Ningbo International Fashion Festival and relevant garment enterprises.

Participants
All participants are required to fill in the attached Registration Form and send it to the contact persons listed below before June 20. Upon receiving delegate's Registration Form, we will arrange to send an official invitation letter to the selected participants.

Call for Papers
A selected number of Chinese participants and all foreign participants will be invited to make a presentation of 20 minutes. They are required to provide the electronic version of their presentations to APCTT before July 15 through the e.mail address : uma@apctt.org. This will be included in the proceedings of the seminar.

Working languages
English and Chinese are the working languages. Simultaneous Chinese/English translation will be provided during the seminar.

Expenses
Participants have to bear all the expenses involved. The organizers would consider providing free boarding and lodging to a limited number of participants selected from member countries for the duration of the programme based on their background and experience in this field.

Brief Information of Ningbo
Ningbo is in the middle of China's coastline. As the second most important city of Zhejiang Province, Ningbo enjoys the same rights as those of a province in economic planning and administration and is entitled to formulate her local laws and regulations. Ningbo is famous for its natural beauty and rich historical and cultural heritages. The area of Ningbo is 9,365sq.km while the population is 5.33 million. Ningbo enjoys subtropical monsoon climate with the annual average temperature of 16.2°C.

Transportation
It is very convenient for foreigners to get to Ningbo. There are 3 flights everyday from Shanghai to Ningbo with the flying time of 30 minutes. Ningbo Airport is about 30-minute drive away from the center of the city.
