Background
In accordance
with the development trends of the
world economy, it is necessary to
apply new technologies to production
in order to bring substantial profits
to small and medium scale enterprises
and contribute to the economic development
of nations. However, new technologies
must be clean and environment friendly.
Objectives
The workshop is designed to create
an opportunity for Vietnamese and
international experts to introduce
some new and clean technologies for
promotion and adoption in the Vietnam.
Also the workshop would provide an
opportunity for the relevant experts
and entrepreneurs to establish cooperation
in the application of some new, clean
and environmentally sound technologies.

Organization
of the Workshop
The workshop is organized by the
Small and Medium Enterprises Development
Support Centre (SMEDEC-HWC), Hanoi,
Vietnam in collaboration with APCTT
and will be held at ASEAN Hanoi Hotel,
Hanoi from 29-30 May 2001.
