Rational
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
have become growth vehicles to national
economies of many developing countries,
including Thailand. Thus, for developing
and recovering the economy, it is
a need to strengthen and build up
the capability of SMEs to be able
to compete in the global market.
Nowadays, there is a rapid change
in the global market, so SMEs need
to adapt themselves to this change
which means they need to know, to
manage and to keep pace with such
change including new technologies
that promote sustainable development.
Therefore, concept of technology and
innovation management have been raised
to enhance the capability of SMEs
for the adaptation of their changes
and the success of their businesses
which will eventually lead to the
economic development of the country
in selected sectors.
APCTT is organizing this workshop
in cooperation with the Technology
Promotion Division (TPD), as a government
agency responsible for promoting technology
transfer under the Department of Enviornmental
and Quality Promotion (DEQP), Ministry
of Science Technology and Environment
(MOSTE), Thailand
Objective
- To exchange Technology Management
experiences in selected industrial
sectors (food processing, ceramic,
pulp & paper, etc.)
- To evolve mechanisms for enhancing
TM capabilities of SMEs in the northern
part of Thailand

- Representative from the universities,
public organizations and private
sectors, etc.
