Training Programme on "Venture Management" 4 - 18 March 2002, IIT, Mumbai and Bangalore, India

Programme focus and content
The programme will deal with key issues concerning the start up, nurturing, growth and management of new ventures, with specific focus on ventures in new emerging knowledge based fields such as Information Technology, Electronic Commerce, etc. Successful development and growth of such ventures poses challenges requiring integrative and high level application of technical innovation, entrepreneurship, business incubation, technology management, and professional management systems.

Research has strongly pointed out the success of such ventures depends to a significant extent on the abundant capacity to provide innovative leadership by the new venture entrepreneurs and their ability to steer the ventures through long phases of risk and uncertainty inherent in this type of activity.
