The Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) organised a Brainstorming Session between STI Agencies of India and APCTT for Promoting Regional Technology Cooperation on 19 April 2022 at New Delhi, India. The event was jointly organized with Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The brainstorming session: (i) shared the priority areas of STI agencies of India for regional technology cooperation; (ii) Identified potential areas of synergy and collaboration among different agencies and APCTT and (iii) Explored strategies and modalities of working together to facilitate regional cooperation and sharing of technologies and innovations.
Experts from key STI-related Ministries, Departments and agencies of Government of India, such as Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEFCC), Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) attended the session.
