apctt hackathon

The 2nd APCTT Hackathon 2026: AI for Technology Readiness will bring together young innovators to develop artificial intelligence-powered tools that support the assessment of Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).

The Hackathon aims to make technology-readiness assessment more consistent, explainable and accessible, thereby supporting more informed technology-transfer decisions.

The competition will be conducted in two stages. Teams will first participate through national qualifiers in India, the Philippines and the Republic of Korea. Selected teams will advance to the final System Hackathon at Techfest, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, on 16–17 December 2026.

  • First place: prize valued at USD 2,000
  • Second place: prize valued at USD 1,500
  • Third place: prize valued at USD 1,500

The awards may be provided in cash or as non-cash prizes of equivalent value. The winning teams will also be invited to present their solutions at an APCTT regional event in 2027.
