Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in collaboration with Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and the National Innovation Agency of Thailand, is organising an event in Bangkok titled "Bridging Tech Transfer Ecosystems in Asia and the Pacific through the ESCAP Investors Network for New and Emerging Technologies (INNET)." The event aims to bring investors and policymakers together to build a clearer and shared understanding of the cross-border investment landscape for technology transfer across the Asia-Pacific region, while also forging new connections between these two communities to enable more coordinated and effective approaches to technology transfer.
A key outcome of the event will be to gather stakeholder feedback and endorsement for the design of ESCAP Investors Network for New and Emerging Technologies (INNET), and to agree on a roadmap for its formal launch covering governance, membership, and priority activities. More broadly, the event seeks to strengthen regional collaboration, align innovation policy with investment ecosystems, and explore concrete mechanisms that can make cross-border technology transfer smoother and more impactful.
The event will bring together a diverse group of participants including representatives from venture capital associations, ministries, and government agencies responsible for innovation, startup, and investment policy across APCTT Governing Council member countries making it a truly regional and multi-stakeholder dialogue.
