The Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in collaboration with the Russian House for International Science and Technology Cooperation (RHISTC), Russian Federation organised an International Conference on "Technologies for the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources" on 3 December 2025 at Moscow.

The conference focused on emerging technologies in subsoil resource management, such as geological exploration, geoscientific applications of AI, oceanographic studies, environmental regulations and governance, sustainable groundwater and mineral management, geothermal energy, environmental effects of resource extraction, and key minerals for clean energy transition such as lithium, cobalt, and rare earths.

The conference brought together scientists, researchers, innovators, industry leaders, and government representatives working in the above-mentioned fields.
